my cousin in Eagle Butte takes oxicontin, IHS doctors readily give out these precriptions to nat amer on many reservations, it is easy to get this drug prescribe. US Govt, FBI investigate? keep us drunk or high or drunk who cares? take our lands!
There are preventive treatments for drug abuse, back problems, diabetes, where are the tribal leaders? behind their closed door, with eyes closed, our nations are dying. Who cares? huh
If it is that easy to get these prescription drugs on your Rez..then somethings wrong there and should be looked into. Here if you are prescribed pain meds you get one @ a time or as needed from the clinic. There ARE preventative measures to use.

THE DOCTORS NEED TO LOOK AT THE WHOLE PICTURE, AND NOT PRESCRIBE UNECESSARY NARCOTICS THAT REALLY ARE NOT NEEDED,BUT RATHER SENT PATIENTS TO AN OUT PATIENT PAIN CLINIC.

I hate to admit but I to abuse prescription drugs because my tribe cant afford to send me to get a operation on my lower back, so they just feed me pain killers drugs, i worked all my life and got hurt on the job, pushed out the door,and forgotten.
