Most Americans do not know and do not care to know anything about Native history or culture. What is passed off as Native comes from cartoons, a few racist as hell movies, and totally fictional public school education myths.

If they don't like America, they should go back to where ever they came from. We're still here and don't plan on leaving. Only cowards run from their country without a fight.

Find a copy of "Who's the Savage" by Nelson and Wrone, Krieger Publishing 1982 if you want history.

FAST not FEAST on "thanksgiving."

Its so easy to hate. Its much harder to continue your path with so many obstacles.

Things ARE changing. In my mom's old history book Custer was a good guy. In my history book, Custer just was-with no real detail. In my son's history book Custer is the American version of Hitler. With every generation we're getting closer to truth.

We can only change ourselves, let's deal with the problems we can change for the better of our poeple and set an example for those who want a change. Live in the now fore thats all we have. If they want to try and hide from their past, let them.

Oho Mitakuye Oysin, Most people in America do not know thier history. And yet history is so important to all because it informs us of who we are. But care must be taken when studying history because the past is "a foreign country" and people lie.

Thanksgiving to most blacks is a day off from the labor that the white man put them threw. Most of them just learn what thanksgiving is to the indian. Every year the jews remember what hitler did to their people with religious service

My grandmother was a partial Seminole. This is a link to my blog if any are interested. http://wwwcampfire.blogspot.com/2009/09/native-american-voices_16.html

What happen to the Jews was UNGODLY, the same to the Native/African American. The difference to me, Jews still have their land/language/tradition and religion. As as race of people, they still came out on top. Not so for the Native/African American.

the more i read in the history books coupled by what i learned from my father alienates me from my white roots .no one takes you seriously when you look white but bleed native ...so many injustices still going on today ,progress is cloudy, one sided

Look up the definition of Colonialism and see if the murder of 3,000 Americans on 9/11 is the end result of centuries of Europeans and Americans invading weaker countries to steal their natural resources and lands for Colonization. Theft and Murder.
