congress has no indians and these foreigns think its ok to give left overs? if i had my way i would deport them all.

This coment is to thirstynavajo I am sitting here reading everyone voice their opinions which is fine. Then I came across your opinions in two different pages. You sound like the Native version of Skinheads.

Teaching and preaching hate makes you no better than them. What happened to our ancesters is past you are spreading hate and prejudice in the present.

anybody can say "i'm sorry" making amends is another thing. That's goes for all teaties that were broken, land stolen, and the listgoes on and on.I can't see how you are in the position you are in with your little knowlegde about natives here.

To apologize is to admit guilt. To admit guilt is to subject oneself to restitution and punishment. I think this government wants to simply laugh it all off as some sort of silly misunderstanding. Kiss the boo-boo and suddenly it's "all better now"

If Congress were to acknowledge what it's done in the past, (in the name of God) and condemn it's actions, 233 years of legalized bigotry would have to go out the back door along with 517 years of invasive European idiots.

They (Congress) should stop apolgizing and do something about the substandar housing, justice systems and health care systems on reservations. We Natives don't need anymore empty apologies.

Things will get worse before they get better. The government will applogize untill they are blue in the face, but the fact of the matter is what is done is done. We must stand and make our voices heard if we want change.

I think it's time that our holocaust is acknowledged. Ever since that lost explorer Columbus "discovered" the "New World", we indigenous people have suffered, then and now. Do not be mislead by anyone, the holocaust continues even today!

An apology is a start and is welcome. By admitting guilt however, that means legally you must honor our treaties. This includes excluding native americans from paying for any health care. We were already promised free health care. Honor it.

Thank You Lady Jz for your comments. You are right in stating the obvious that he spreading prejudice and hate.It is also called racism. It has become an epidemic on today's indian reservations.Intolerance and negativity is poison to the mind and body.

This is like saying, I am sorry you feel that way. Another way is like what they did to Barry Bonds, with an asterisk. In no way shape or form is this remotely an apology. Just do what you said you would do and honor the treaties you signed.
