Foster Pepper has launched its first legal blog,
http://www.nativelegalupdate.com, devoted to legal issues and information relevant to Native American communities.

The firm has a long history of service to Native American and Alaska Native peoples and organizations. From public service legal programs to multi-million dollar finance and infrastructure projects, Foster Pepper works closely with Tribes and Alaska Native Corporations to facilitate their community development and economic growth. “This blog is a natural extension of our ongoing services to Native communities,” said Greg Guedel, chair of the Native American Legal Services Group. “Our goal is to provide current legal information that can be accessed 24/7 by our clients and other interested parties to keep them abreast of issues facing Tribes, their members, and their economic interests.”

Foster Pepper provides services and guidance to its Native American clients in a vast array of areas, including but not limited to bond finance, real estate and construction, labor and employment, environmental and land use, business, health care, and intellectual property protection.

Kapaa and Jeri have given examples of how without a Native American Civil Rights law that provides Natives the same rights and protections on the rez that everybody has outside the rez then the same nation-wide rotten system will continue.

The tribal gov. and the US gov. have done the people on both sides a great injustice. I have also lost a child by a tribal gov. and I am white who just happen to have a child with a NA man. Its has bee three long years and I can't even see my baby.
