By Staff reports

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. – Entertainment industry executive Steve Macfadyen has been named director of entertainment for The Show, a spectacular new concert theatre opening at Agua Caliente Casino, Resort, Spa in Rancho Mirage, Calif.

As director of entertainment, Macfadyen will manage operations at the $76 million venue. He will also be a key part of the effort to position the 2,000-seat facility as the premier concert theatre in Southern California, with an outstanding lineup of rock, pop and country acts as well as live sporting events.

Macfadyen has more than 30 years experience in the entertainment industry, holding executive management positions at House of Blues Entertainment and several large-capacity arenas and theatres throughout California. Most recently, Macfadyen served as regional director of facilities for Live Nation, Inc. and as president and chief executive officer for an event facility consulting firm.

Scott Cooper, general manager at Agua Caliente Casino, Resort, Spa said Macfadyen is an asset to the team. “We are excited to have Steve joining us as we approach the opening of The Show. We know his expertise in the entertainment industry will serve us well.”

The Show is the final phase of the spectacular transformation of Agua Caliente Casino into a world-class entertainment destination. The Show is scheduled to open Feb. 12, with a performance by legendary piano man, Billy Joel, followed up by a variety of high-powered acts including Tony Bennett, Trace Adkins and Jay Leno.
